To be more efficient in designing, I go back to photoshop to do iterations on top of the milestones I achieve in 3D. This way, I'm not caught up with the technical limitations in 3D and maintain the design process as raw as possible.
Since this concept piece is more like "an idea in the moment piece". I had to look for minimal and key references only. This will help me narrow the design more and stick to spec as much as possible.
